PSCDC is committed to enhancing our community’s growth and economic stability through several strategic initiatives. One key initiative is providing affordable housing to ensure local workers have access to quality, affordable homes near their places of employment, contributing to the overall vitality of our community.

As part of this initiative, PSCDC will host the first Workforce Housing Opportunity Process (HOP) for Phase 1 of the development in the Trails and Chris Mountain II subdivisions.

Event Details

PSCDC Housing Opportunity Process
August 22, 2024
5:30 PM to 7:00 PM
Ross Aragon Community Center
451 Hot Springs Blvd, Pagosa Springs CO 81147

During this public HOP event, PSCDC will draw up to 10 qualified homebuyers from the pool of pre-approved applicants who can select one of our newly built affordable homes. A neutral party will draw the names to ensure fairness. Each household drawn will have the opportunity to select one of the available homes to purchase.

Important Information

  • To participate, potential homebuyers must first apply with PSCDC, obtain pre-qualification from a bank, and receive verification of Area Median Income (AMI) with the Archuleta County Housing Authority.
  • Homebuyers must be present or have a representative present at the drawing.
  • Homebuyers drawn will have 5 minutes to make their home selection. If no desired home is available, the homebuyer(s) will be placed on a waiting list in the order drawn.

PSCDC will hold a second drawing in late September or early October. Details for this second drawing will be announced as available.

PSCDC is still taking applications for the 2024 and 2025 affordable homes!

Interested buyers are encouraged to apply. For more information and to submit an application, please use the link above or contact Emily Lashbrooke at 970.264.3023 or Emily@PagosaSpringsCDC.org.
